2-7 September - Trip to Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and Salt Lake City

Candy had been asking for several years for me to take her to Vegas, so we went out for an extended Labor Day weekend.  We stayed at New York New York, but visited pretty much every casino on The Strip and then some, including Mandalay Bay, Luxor, MGM, the Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, Paris Las Vegas, the Venetian, the Wynn, Circus Circus, and the Stratosphere, and visited the Fremont Street Experience.  We also took a day trip to the Grand Canyon.  On the way home, we took advantage of an extended layover in Salt Lake City to visit Temple Square, where we saw the Mormon Tabernacle.
