Yesterday was my second cousin Jeffrey’s Christening. Jeffrey’s dad is my cousin Tim, who has been serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq since last spring. Tim is home for a three week break, timed to coincide with Jeffrey’s birth. We were beginning to wonder if Jeffrey was going to arrive in time for his own Baptism, but he was born on Thursday, October 4th at 4:47pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz, and was released from the hospital yesterday morning, just in time to be baptized at the Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity at West Point, which is where his parents were married just over three years ago! Tim is headed back to Iraq next weekend, but will be home for good in July. We continue to pray every day for his safekeeping and that of his comrades.
