As the long cold winter has finally come to an end, we’ve had a number of occasions for celebration. We celebrated Candy’s Birthday, Easter, and the first anniversary of Adoption Day. We also took a trip to the Reston Zoo and to see the Cherry Blossom Parade.

It’s been a busy couple of months. We went to NY for President’s Day weekend. Candy and I enjoyed a day in the city and saw “Wicked” while Riley and Veronica enjoyed a day with Nannie and Da. I “celebrated” the end of my mid-30s and the beginning of a downhill slide toward 40. The snow finally let up and we started to see the hints of spring.

The highlight of the last two months was our trip to Charleston, SC for Jon and Kat’s wedding, where Riley and Veronica danced the night away, after our visits to Fort Sumter and the South Carolina Aquarium.

As I type we are on the eve of yet another major snowstorm, with 10-20″ forecast for the Washington area, on top of the more than 30″ we got over the weekend. Call it Snowmageddon, call it Snowpocalypse, call it SnOMG, call it whatever you want… it’s a lot of snow.
